How much do you/On Target charge to install the SRT on a Sig P226. SIG SAUER Short Reset Trigger (SRT) upgrade kit for P226 / P227 / P229 / P228. Thanks! I was just On Target last Thurs, I prob won't make it back in for a few weeks, can't afford to goto the range too often with 3 kids under 5 yrs old! I'd love to try your Sig with the SRT. I will not be in this coming Sunday (9/5/10), but if you are not in a hurry I will be there on 9/12 and I can bring my SIG with SRT for you to try (P226 and P228 9mm or P220 Elite, your choice). Installation of these parts kits require disassembly of your firearm beyond a field-stripped. Unless you really fancy the quick 2nd shot capability and plan to engage in IDPA/IPSC competition where this feature would make some difference, otherwise just for target shooting SRT is not necessary IMO. SIG SAUER Short Reset Trigger (SRT) upgrade kit for P220. We also got certified SIG armorers to install it on-site for you. Generally, it would take about 1/2 lb off the SA trigger based on my experience. It's an interesting animal, but does take some getting used to. SIG SAUER Short Reset Trigger (SRT) upgrade kit for P220. Place I work for (On Target) also got some SRT kits in for the P220/226/228/229 series. Some people install the longer P365XL slide on the shorter P365 grip module, and conversely. I would love to have sent my stuff to Gray Guns, but for the pricing and availability that I can get parts direct from Sig, I won't complain.Īs for the QRT, the member doing those modifications left a foul taste in my mouth on Sigforum based upon his attitude and actions there. SRT (over the other options) is nice that it's factory, and some agencies will allow duty carry on it (doubting that would be a reason for the OP though). Installed, and dry fired like crazy and it feels good. Some guys went from pistols that had fired thousands of round and put a new part in. But I also cleaned up the parts before it went in the pistol. The Sig Sauer Short Reset Trigger kit dramatically reduces the length of travel needed for the trigger to reset in your Sig Pistol. Also from what I've read, you're better off getting the QRT from a member on Sigforum or Bruce Grey's version of the SRT. The initial double-action has more of a "crunchy" feel for it. So you should definitely try to find someone or somewhere that has a Sig you can try it out. I think the majority of the people who do have it, don't need it. Majority of the people who have had it seemed to like it.
